Hello.
I am thinking of if there is a cheaper polymer than PEEK for a bushing.
The max surface pressure is 20Mpa 2.9psi.
The motion can be described as slightly pivoting.
And the shape of the bushing is:
Inner diameter = 15mm , 0.6 inch
Thickness = 1.5mm , 0.06 inch

I am not a native English speaker so I don't understand what "one off" means but if I assume right and it's only one gear it's not so. It's made extruded and maybe a couple of hundreds a year, we also use them in room temperature applications. Now we changed to PVDF but it's much...
Thanks for the answer romke.
Actually I have been given the wrong information from a colleague. The idea was to investigate if there is a water carried lubricant we can use after the washing. And the main think is not rust as we use SS steel but it's to reduce wear.
But your post contained a lot...
Hello.
I have been given a task to examine why a gear (around 12" diameter and 1" thick) have failed.
The application is in a steamer so it's getting hot.
The material is acetal but I am not sure which grade but I will get the information later today. There are speculations if it is the high...
Thank you for the answer.
I was thinking of condition H900 due too the high strength.
I am not so a native English speaker so the word punching may be wrong used. The process may be stamping. The thickness of the plate is 2.5mm.
Also does anybody know where to find data for 17-4 in -94F (-70C)...
Thanks for the answers.
It will be for better wear resistance.
The price will be for Condition A.
Price for ageing I already have.
And is Condition A suitable for punching operations?
Thanks Thomas.
Hello.
I am thinking of changing material of some components in a machine from steel 304 to 17-4.
And I’m wondering roughly in percent how much more the 17-4 steel costs.
If anybody knows the price ratio for 304 and HyTens I would also be happy.
Thanks Thomas.
