Zogzog,
This is not exactly as you wrote. I agree with specific time period but I've heard about transformer failure because of corrosive sulfur in Norway..
I'm from Poland. We are also trying to do some research in our units. We suppose we have problem with several units.
That's I'm looking...
Hi all,
The problem with corrosive sulfur in the oil, especially in Power Transformers and Reactors is known.
Do you have any expierence with it? Maybe problems?

Peter
Hi all,
do you have any expierence with maintenance of power transformer with capacitor bank in the tertiary side? I'm not asking about GSU but 160MVA and higher power transformers.
We have a few such instalations but I am worring about these units. I have heard about problems with charging...
Hi,
you should looking for loading parameters in your transformer documentation.
There should be some loading parameters, e.g.:
1. normal load cyclical, daily
2. emergency, long-time cyclical daily load
3. emergency, short-time overload
It specify direcly load current for HV, LV windings and...
Hello,
there is a few very good factories in Europe. I can recommend you VA TECH Elin in Weiz and SIEMENS in Nurnberg. Also AREVA (factories in Duisburg and Gebze) and ABB.
But you have too know that all of them are full of orders.

Hi everyone,
bacon4life - thank you for your response.
I have to tell you, that our CB-autotransformer combinations are very new. So, we don't have much experience in using it. That's why I would know about similar solutions in other companies or countries.
I think that TW is the weakest from...
Hi everyone,
There is a new idea in my company to connect Capacitor Banks (CB) to TV of the autotransformer. This is of course for power grid improvement (400 kV power grid).
I know about similar solutions in other countries, but there CB are connected directly to the power grid (as a CB field...
