In an individual part the appearances doesn't do anything, when I do it on the part in an assembly it changes its color.

I was able to do the colors just fine with a nvidia 6800gt

Is there something in options that I need to change to change the color of the models?. I put the "Edit Color" button on one of my main toolbars and it is grayed out, so is "realview". When I select a model and go to component properties, then select color I can pick a color but it doesn't show...
