Thanks Stely, Its true theres many error msg in Catia that does not really explain the problem. I tried searching this one around and theres none. I just hope the Service Pack update would fix this one.
Why not just insert that IGES file to Product in Catia and then manipulate the Part so that you can get the correct axis orientation. Then resave it as IGES or Step file. A workaround for people who doesnt have ProE and stuck with the IGES or STEP file. :))
Strange error message of Catia V5. "The Call is rejected by the Callee". Do you know what that means? Trying to insert existing component in Assy and that pops up.

I want to correct myself. Yes you can have different shades in Catia. I was exploring it more a bit. Use the Customize View and enable Rendering Style Per Object. :)
Just ask your company to get you to training. It saves you a lot of time from learning(1wk) and you'll learn the best methodology in doing things. In addition, books will be included from the training. Its a matter of finding the best school. Just my thought.
Its not possible to have different shades. You can however choose to work in Cache(Visualization) mode to speed up things and just load the parts you need to work on.
