sorry, it is an e-1 transmission line. i dont want the signal to be attenuated more than 1 db. If the tapping line has higher impedience than the line being tapped would there be less voltage taken away from the tapped line?

I am trying to split a signal with minimal loss to one of the outputs of the splitter going to the original destination. If I throw a resistor in the path of the second splitter to the new destination, will the original destination have less than a 3 db loss?
