John,
I believe that what he is asking for is an "auto-text" feature. I don't recall the name and I'll have to dig the information out.
This is something that we've had in our drawing patterns and a grip script would be used to popuplate it. We also have a grip script that's used the add...
Quick little bit of background information. We're using Unigraphics NX, no TC. We also have a mix of 32 and 64 bit workstations, running NX1 looking to migrate to NX5.
I've tried in the past to try to find the best way to benchmark machines. The only tool that I can seem to come up with or...
Hello Tim,
I have it set to use a different ugii_env.dat file from another location. I operated under the assumption that it would read the defaults from the UGII directory, and then anything that was specified differently would be overridden by the custom DAT file.
Correct me if I am...
> set UGII_ENV_FILE=[YOUR CUSTOM .DAT FILE NAME HERE].dat
Quick question on this, do we simply copy the UGII_ENV file and modify it or do we just put our changes to it and it simply goes:
our custom dat > ug default dat
Where when a variable or path isn't set in the custom one it then looks...
I may be all wet here, I'd first try plotting to a file. CGM/HPGL2 file. Then I'd go on to use nxprint and print from the file to the printer. This should help eliminate any questions you have in regards to whether it's the biting it on the plotting or on the printing.
You should also be...
We're looking at upgrading some of the workstations and a question has come up with whether we want to go with dual dual core or dual quad core xeons. Based on our budget we would have to trade cpu speed for more cores(ie: 2 dual core xeons 2.6ghz or 2 quad core 2.0ghz xeons). Is there a...
If you have imported or modified any of the configuration files on a default install, some are overrided by another one. I'd suggest if you can find the enviroment variable do a search in your UGS program files directory for that variable name in every one of the files. Sometimes it's easier...
Here's a walk through article:
http://newsletter.plmworld.org/archive/Vol4No3/port_plotting.php
One thing that they don't tell you about it is this.
1. At least on NX5 you *may* need to adjust your 'role' to have more options to get into the File -> Utilities -> Printer Administration
2...
Problem with the shop floor is they're 80x25 monochrome terminals. Think the DOS command prompt windows. They're on their way out.. just not fast enough.
The PDF's would work with printing the problem is though getting them printed in the first place. We don't use Teamcenter, and the...
Quick bit of background, the majority of the printing is done on the manufacturing floor on 80x25 dumb terminals that call a grip program that plots the sheet/sheets to a HP Postscript Laser printer.
With the advent of NX3 the entire printing system was revamped and SDI replaced PM or PQ or...
