Hydromech: Planned acc. vol is 1/4gal. There are 4 cyls, 6" bore 20" stroke.
Regular operation, rising for 10-150mm in 90mins
need for high speed stroking as well over the entire 20" in 16 secs. so about 36,72 gpm required during 16 seconds.
this is a one-off, retrofitting of an existing...
Hi all, I'd like your opinion on a certain system where 4 cylinders are to be synchrod within ± 0.5mm
Stroke is 10-150mm the stroke has a ±90 minute duration iow the 4 cylinders will have to extend lets say 150mm over the course of 90 minutes.
Initial design is to be closed loop with vickers...
Sorry, I just tried to put everything relevant to impeller and seal. I'm not very familiar with centrifugal pumps yet so I thought the pics of the impeller might give someone else a clue as to what had gone on.
I guess the only pic worthwhile would be the 4th one. That's what was left of the...
Were you able to see the pictures I attached?? What are your thoughts concerning them.
Thankyou for the information and help CH5OH , I appreciate the help!
Sorry about that, fluid pumped is infiltration water in a mine, temperature is around 70F.
I'm currently in the process of finding out if pump was correctly dearated and aligned prior to being put in service.
Assuming it has, what could blow out the seal like this?? I come from a hydraulics...
Sorry, I have another question, any opinions from our resident pump experts as to pump quality from these two manufacturers??:
1. American Marsh Pumps
2. Aurora Pumps
thanks
Hi everyone, I am currently having problems with mechanical seal failures on two Aurora Series 421 - Horizontal Multi Stage Split Case Pumps.
Sync speed of 3600RPM, ± 1000gpm
Size: 6x6 with an Impeller 11.315 trimmed down to 11.25in
by dealer in order to reduce amp draw
I would like to...
Hi all, my students asked me why some pisons in carbiable piston pump motors and pumps are hollow, and why others are full.???
I have a couple of ideas why, but I'like input on this as some people have mentioned its just the way it is, but I honestly think that manufacturers won't spend extra...
"As I mentioned before I use a Hydraulic Trouble Shooting book for the local apprentice class since that was what they requested.
The Trouble Shooting class is over 70% learning the circuits and components. It has an abreviated Fluid Power Circuits Explained section to study correct circuits...
Thanks a lot Hydromech! That's exactly what I was looking for. Now you do realise that means there'll be more questions coming in the future as you seem to be well versed in hydraulics.
Thank you all
yup, motors run in the same direction 1st case, after the cylinder has completed extension, motors start running with speed varying according to flow delivered by the proport. valve (0-4.5gpm). 2) On cylinder retraction, motor will begin runing but at a reduced speed (approx. 0.5gpm) and motor...
Hi all, Could anyone familiar with these valves (Hytos in this case) help me figure out why the following happens: I have a hydraulic circuit where the principal components are: pump, Hytos proportional directional valve with closed center, a sequence valve which will actuate a cylinder (on...
