Counting of differant values in one column

I have been trying to create a first time reject report for the quality group using Microsoft Reporting Services that will give us a tally of each of our reject codes. I have been pretty successful with the other reports but this one has beaten me. In the report I started by creating a...

    MSC Automation - Wilmington, NC

That is exactly what I am looking for. I don't have any names. I thought that maybe someone here might have a name or two of an owner or sales person. I have no idea when they went under or why. Steve

I am looking for someone who used to work for MSC Automation that used to be in Wilmington, NC. They are out of business now. We need to some drawings on a machine that they built for us in the spring of 2000. Any help with a name or contact info would be greatly appreciated. steve.meisel at...

    Small Component Storage Suggestions

I was wondering what types of bins, boxes, trays, old coffee cups, etc, etc are your favorite for storing small circuit components at your desk/workstation. I want to order some new ones and would like some suggestions. I have seen a thread like this before somewhere and can't seem to find it...

    Rockwell software

Buy this: http://www.thelearningpit.com/lp/logixpro.html Complete simulation software that mimics the RSLogix 500 software and plc. No machinery to crash, no downtime, no feelings hurt. There are complete process/machinery simulations. A great learning tool for the beginner. I give a copy...

    PIC/ Hobby electronics forums

I doubt that you will find a better place than: http://www.nutsvolts.com/ These guys are PIC guru's. I've been getting the magazine for several years now. Still haven't tried a PIC. I like my Freescale products here at work and play with them at home.

Local light control - timer source needed

We were looking into the same thing. First stated small by looking into putting the lighing just in our copy machine room (more of a closet) on one of those motion sensors that replaces the light switch but the payback turned out to be 7 years. Cheaper to leave the light on even though is...

How to check voltage on a 1746-OA16 card

I had a problem exactly as yours. We were losing triac card outputs that were driving solenoids and a fuse was between them. I solved it by switching the triac card out with a relay card and the problem went away. You may want to give it a try. Steve

    Length measurement using rotary encoder

Are you absolutely sure that you do not have a mechanical problem? Sounds like there could be a slight amount of slippage between the drive roll and the metal sheet. From the looks of it you have covered most if not all of any electrical issues. Steve

    Problems with a PanelView 550

2711-CN13 is not a valid Rockwell part number. To communicate to your RIO panelview, you will need an standard RS-232 9 pin null modem cable or Rockwell part # 1747-CP3. Go into the panelview's configuration screen, under printer setup, you want Port Mode set to "Printing Disabled." This will...

    Multiple file Printing?

I was wondering is there a way to print multiple files? Occasionally I have to reprint electrical drawings from a CD for the maintenance guys. It is very tedious having to open each drawing, click "yes - I want to open it even if it is a read only", click "plot", select printer, etc, etc, etc...

    EE Bachelors degree

Like you, I cannot quit working to go to school. Wife and kids have this habit of consuming food every few hours. Go figure. I just finished my Associates EET degree in May (4 years to get it). I start here: http://online.northcarolina.edu/2+2/ this fall. I am going to try it but I sure...

Help on designing a LED circuit

Thanks macgyvers2000 Not trying to hijack the thread. The pwm is ONE (there are two) of my two newest and biggest problems. I am going to try to set up it in an interrupt. My specs call for a much slower clock than the 1kHz, that should not be a problem, but I have a pwm signal accuracy of +/-...

Help on designing a LED circuit

All of this brings up an interesting question: I have been working on and off on a project here for about the last 9 months. The project started out with an 8 bit µC, one discrete input, one discrete output, one analog input, and a single pwm to drive a motor. All was well and good. I had it...
