Yes, the bottleneck is the hardrive (at least, most of the solver time is applied in disk saving/loading.
Thank you for the help provided.
The vendor has in fact some hints regarding the best configuration but it is provided as general information since each solution type has its own requisites...
Sorry, this is not a question on how to do that (I think that no one can provide me a valid and general guide to speed up solver tasks) but rather a call for user experiences that once shared my issues and somehow succeed on getting better results with proper tune of parameters, or experiences...
I have a lenovo ws P500 with 64gb ram, xeon e51620 v3 3.5GHz, with a M2-nvme disk for windows, another M2-nvme (in an PCIx4 3.0 adapter) for programs and 3 harddrives (1Tb each) for data.
And one nvidea quadro K4200 for display and 3D handling and a second K2200 just for GPU computing (i...
Just to close this thread:
- threst=0.0 did solve the issue (thanks nlgyro )
- the edition of case-control also solves the edition of dat file for analysis without the need for the external edition of dat file and external nastran solver call (thanks TG_eng ).
Meanwhile
I also manage to edit...
Thanks. Is there any way to insert this case control using analysis set manager inside femap or it is really required to make the amendment onto the .dat file and run nastran outside of femap ?
I have a sandwich panel where the core is made of soft material and for some configurations, the strain energy output for the soft core is not provided (the software simply gives me a notification that data is not available).
It is quite strange that for the skins the strain energy data is...
Any one knows any available forum or independent web page (independent means other than sd-star and spectral dynamics) directly related with this signal analyser?
Since it is based on a matlab environment i think that others working with the same equipment may have specific and improved...
Yes I think am using a pretrigger delay (perhaps too tiny). I think I must make further test on this issue.
In time signal i see a quite narrow peak but i cann't ensure that this peak is really only one (i will make zoom on that just to check)
Is there any recomendations concerning the...
Thanks for your reply. However i get confused with that solution since I learned that harder tips are useful to extend useful frequency range of the impact (extend first autospectral bounce) whereas soft tips (like rubber tips) are intended to focus the impact energy onto a low frequency range...
Hi, I am using a small impact hammer from kistler 2722A2000
and recently i realize that for the low frequency range I 'am getting a strange autospectrum from the force signal. Instead of getting a nice curve shape (a near horizontal bounce) I get a irregular bouncing curve like this...
