Frederic,
You are correct that the hole process is separate from the forming process. This may also help explain why if you save the dxf with the "feature loops" option selected in flat pattern treatments, the hole geometry disappears from the flat entirely.
However, in our process the parts...
UPDATE: After searching through the GTAC solutions database, I found a report of this issue. Apparently, it's always worked this way. This leaves one to wonder how CAM systems automatically process the holes when they are on the same layer as a formed feature...
Greetings,
I am having some trouble with holes on layers in an exported dxf flat of a Sheetmetal part. Depending on where I place the hole on the sheet the feature is on a different layer on the exported dxf. I am operating in the traditional sheetmetal enviroment. To reproduce this:

I have a part that should receive a rectangular grid of circular etch marks. As the size of the part changes, the grid can change in size and number of instances in the grid. Attempting to pattern the etch feature yields an "Associative Recompute Error" which makes sense since the etch has to...
Todd,
I have the same issue and have been trying to track it down. Are you working with a foating license with mulitple seats of SE? Our setup consists of a mix of Solid Edge "Foundation" and "Classic" seats. From what I've seen, this feature is available in the "Classic" but not the...
Greetings,
I am currently running ST3 and moving to ST4 soon. I work nearly entirely in sheet metal files and would like to know why the neither Feature Library nor copying and pasting features is not supported while in the flattened environment of a sheet metal part. I am familiar with...
