Hi all guys,
I need some help about a frame I’m trying to calculate, in particular the dimensioning of the columns.
The loads on the box are really heavy and dynamic, and can also be different each one. The step between the loads is about 285 mm.
In your opinion, how is the effective length...
ehi agostage,
you help me a lot.
I really really appreciate your contribute.
Sorry for the late but i've seen you reply just tonight.
I've checked the structure with hand calculations and all seems ok.
i really appreciate your advise, i want to be a good engineer and your support is really...
hello all,
sorry but i'm really worried about a frame that i design.
I need to know if the frame is checked and can be built up with the profile i decided during my SAP2000's test.
Can anyone help me to check the frame and tell me if all is ok and the frame will be right with that frame?
I'm...
Often many people say to me that sap do many mistake in elaborate the effective lenght factor.
i would like to know how to make things right.
for example..
If i have something similar to this frame..
..that is loaded by some heavy cilynders, i would like to know how to set as effective lengt...
thanks again agostage,
the analysis is a simple linear so i think the problem must be searched in a non correct distribution of the lenght factor. Tomorrow i'll made some test and i ope to fix he problems.
many many thanks agostage and sorry for the time wasted
I'll be back with new...
sorry agostage, in the second question i made a little bit of confusion. to undertand better immagine a simple column with an unique cross section from the start till the end.
(also forgot my problem about the end lenght offset).
In practice if i check the entire colum as a unique frame i...
Hi all,
I need some help about the command "end lenght offset"
PROBLEM 1
As you can see in the attachment i've a a problem witha column.
I've a column (a simple pipe) 4000mm high linked between two profile 500 mm high. I need to follow the distance between the neutral axis of the profile...
