I think your best bet would be to call Fanuc. I know they have loaded hard drives for me in the past. They do a nice conversion from IDE to SATA and that way you can go solid state.
If that isn't an option, I know there is a company called laser works up in that area. He is a independent guy...
I appreciate the follow up. Sounds like the Amada guy did a great job. I'm glad it worked out.
This forum has been around for quite some time. Maybe not as active as it once was but still useful. Yes, I contribute a little, but more importantly, it's people like you that make the difference...
There are a couple things I'm confused about. I think the tan coupler, that the nozzle screws into, are for the FOM2.
The reason I pointed that out, is on the NT comes there are three hoses that can cause all kinds of sensors head issues. Those hoses where mostly eliminated on the M2.
On the...
How ironic, I'm pretty good with the laser stuff but not so great with the software.
I'm going to state some obvious stuff here mostly just to clarify.
Draftsight is drawing software, from what I gather. I assume you make either a dxf, or dwg to bring into your cam software. Not sure what...
I think what you are seeing with high power cuts is caused by a contamination of some kind on the internal mirrors.
From my experience, if there is a oil haze or dust on the output coupler, The more power you put through the mirror, the more heat it absorbs instead of transmitting the energy...
The quick answer is output coupler ( mostly).
I agree though, That does look pretty good. I shoot them a little different. I take out mirror #5 and put the block about 2 meters from the #5 mount.
Do you know what your calibration coefficient is?
I am surprised that grid shift didn't work. I am not saying I don't believe you. Just makes it difficult to fix this.
One idea I had, was to dump the reference position, move it 0.020, then reestablish the home position.
If the machine is referenced at the home position, turn 1815 for the YP...
You're not going to like it, and I'm sorry to say. I think that alarm is usually caused by a broken cable that runs from the encoder back to the servo amp.
It could be the z encoder, but I don't come across that very often. Could be the amp, but you already replaced it.
I suppose you could...
The set screw / bolt is really just a cap.
Pull the cap and you'll see a place for a flat head screwdriver. Put the machine in E-STOP and turn the "screw" I'll u get a gap where the double pictures indicate. You don't have to manually drive it all the way, just till it gets unstuck.
Double...
