Trouble recording a macro in 2009

Unfortunately the first time I tried recreating it in 2009, I saved over it so it's gone.

Trouble recording a macro in 2009

I checked and I don't have anything referencing 2007. Here is what I have checked. http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=362dec40-01b0-4ede-9a8d-2f7350e91a65&file=solidworks.jpg

Trouble recording a macro in 2009

We just switched from Solidworks 2007 to 2009 at work. I used to have a macro that would turn off dual dimensions as I don’t use them but they are turned on in our drawing templates. I imported my settings and everything worked except this macro. I tried recording these actions again, but...

Looking for Solidworks models of PVC plumbing fittings

I scoured the web and couldn't find any downloadable models. Anybody have an idea if they are available somewhere? I'm mainly looking for 1.5" and 2" PVC elbows, wyes, sanitary tees. Thanks!

What should I upgrade for improved performance?

245 Top level mates. How would you minimize this though in a large assembly? StefanHamminga, I don't even understand what you are talking about regarding networks. I'm handcuffed as far as any change there anyway. I'll be limited to easy computer upgrades. Sounds like additional Ram is the...

What should I upgrade for improved performance?

Well, I'm not sure if this qualifies as Large but the assembly has 320 parts & sub assemblies. I used to work over a network and I had a lot of trouble with speed & crashing. I've since changed to working on my hard drive and periodically backing up to the network.

What should I upgrade for improved performance?

Here's the specs on my current computer. It starts to get pretty slow when I work with large assemblies. The regeneration time and editing become very slow. If I try to move a sliding part it often moves very slow and takes a while to get it started. Dell Precision360 P4 2.8 GHz Nvidia...

    Thru hole callouts in drawings

Sometimes It will work for me, calling out THRU. Other times it doesn't. I can't figure out how or why there's a difference. In each case, it's a sketch that i extrude THROUGH ALL. Is there anything specifically on how the hole must be started or anything else that may lead to differences?

    Thru hole callouts in drawings

If it's a thru hole, I always select through all for the cut. It still calls out the full depth, not thru all on the drawing though.

    Thru hole callouts in drawings

I'm having a problem with thru hole callouts in drawings. A turned part is 1" long and I have an extruded cut "through all" along the centerline. When I put it in a drawing, I use the "hole callout" feature to define the hole. I remember a while ago, instances like this would be calle out...

How can I "see" something that's suppressed

Is there any way to keep "Right click on the assembly part number in the Feature Tree, go to Tree Display and check - Show Component Descriptions" turned on? I have to turn it on each time I open a new assembly. The description really helps me out. Thanks for the tip.

    Magnets for tool bits

I just asked a co-worker and he knew. These are what I am talking about. I guess my search is over. Thanks for the replies. http://www.aimco-global.com/adtemplate.asp?invky=53103&catky=779338

    Magnets for tool bits

Do you have a direct link by chance? I checked all of those places and couldn't find anything.

    Magnets for tool bits

I've seen and used before round magnets that slip over a screwdriver bit to hold a fastener for assembly. They are about 1/2" in diameter and 3/8" in height. Different color plastic covers. I can't figure out where to buy them from though? I thought I got them from McMaster before but can't...

Oooh. That's a good one. Thanks!

How can I "see" something that's suppressed

Thanks Scott. Maybe I should just start using HIDE instead. I hope to save crunching capability by supressing though. Your answer makes sense now that I think about it.

How can I "see" something that's suppressed

As you roll over features in the feature tree on the left side of the screen, the feature or part gets a red box around it in the model. If the item is supressed, you don't get the red box letting you know which one you are rolling over. Is there any way to still get some sort of indication of...

I need a "resistance to voltage or current" device

I need to make a test to verify correct parts are installed in an assembly. I'm looking for a correct motor voltage. I have verified that the different voltage motors we use have very different resistances across the leads. I'd like a device then, that will turn a resistance value into a...

How can I continuously spin a model?

I was wondering if there is a way to continuously spin a model/assembly, for presentation purposes? SW2005. Thanks.

    ACME threads in holewizard?

Is it possible to get ACME threads in the holewizard? I don't use them often but it would be nice on occasion.
