MikeDB,
You are correct, I am wanting to install an FM antenna on a pipe and attach the pipe to the top of the transmission structure. I am currently using the TIA/EIA-222-F code. We are using Weisman's tower design software currently. I would assume that you would just look at the problem...
yes the properties are dependent on the size. BS is for bridge strand, and EHS is for extra high strength. The tensile properties are greater for bridge strand.
I am looking for examples of steel pole design. I am designing steel poles to mount fm antennas to that will be mounted on top of towers. My problem is I cannot find any examples anywhere on how to design steel poles. I am not sure if you just should check for failure due to bending. If...
I am looking for help on setting up excel. I need to write a program that will select guy wire properties based on the size of the wire I input into a cell. For Example if I type in 3/8" BS or 3/8" EHS wire, based on whether or not the wire is bs or ehs it will input the correct...
To MikeDB,
Thanks for responding. I am desperately trying to find examples on how to design steel poles to support fm antennas that are mounted on top of guyed and self-supporting towers. I have looked everywhere and I cannot find any examples on how to do this. The engineer that I work...
I work for central tower, which is owned by dielectric corporation. We design all types of self-supporting and guyed towers. Try this

I was wondering if anyone would know of any good sources or examples of how to design a pole to mount an fm antenna on top of a guyed tower or self supporter. Also, I am looking for examples of foundation designs for pad and pier and also caisson design. Any information would be of great help...
I am looking for examples or information on the design of foundations for guyed towers and self supporters including pad and pier and also caisson design for base and anchor design. Any information on books, examples, ect. would be great help.
thanks

I was wondering if anyone knew of any good websites where you could find detailed information on the design of towers and foundations for both self-supporting and guyed towers. I work for a tower design company and I am having trouble finding information on design aspects for both structures...
