reboiler return below the reboiler draw-out

dear 25362, thanks very much for ur valuable contribution, i just want more elaboration on the below,if you have a time,: 1- once-through thermosiphon reboilers 2- In these cases, a valved start-up line is generally provided from the bottom of the column. thanks again

reboiler return below the reboiler draw-out

Hi all regarding the title, it is a naphtha stabilizer column which separate LPG from hydrotreated naphtha with a bottom temp. of 176 deg C at the reboiler draw-out and 190 deg C at the reboiler return. the feed flow into this column is ranging from 24~35 ton/h * my question is why the reboiler...

    CCRU H2 compressor failure

thanks JJPellin for your comments yes we plan to send a sample to a third party lab. to specify the problem. you are right, theoe pictures were taken just as the piston was being extracted from the cylinder. in one of the photos and under the feet of the persons you can see the rubber rings...

    CCRU H2 compressor failure

hi all we face a very strange crack of a reciprocating H2 compressor K-202 @ CCRU which deliver produced H2 to all users. vendor's investigations reveal nothing. any idea or similar case? here is the photos https://picasaweb.google.com/mahmmoud30/ReportAboutK202?authkey=Gv1sRgCIWfla_lxazGlwE#

    distillation columns diameter

hi all i want to know why 1. Atm. distillation columns have constant diameter from top to bottom while lighter cuts (e.g diesel ,naptha..etc have variable diameter from bottom to top? 2. why some absorbers are wide at top and narrow in the bottom?

thanks JJPellin for this rich response. we are in a very hot country and this case happed at midnoon. we have local hand-off-auto swith near the aux pump which was in auto mode, is it the same as the auto-start switch that can be set up as latching or not latching or you mean something else...

auxillary lube oil pump not started!!!

hi all just before 2 days our booster compressor (2stages reciprocating compressor from neuman&Esser)was shutdown du to low low lube oil pressure signal, when we check, we found that auxillary oil pump has autostarted when lube oil pressure was low only but it run for 1 second only then stopped...

    why using this control scheme??

Does the graphic actually reflect the control configuration? Yes the scheme is an actual plant under control and operation for 3 years. this snapshot was taken during first configuration and if you like, I will upload the actual DCS snapshot which is the same and with actual operating values. we...

    why using this control scheme??

thanks JLSeagull for passing over and appreiate your response. the PDIC measurement is a typical orifice plate that installed at the reboiler furnace outlet line but itsn't reading a flow, it reads PD across that line.
