Steve,
Way to go, it is nice to hear that you are dragging them into the future. It is my bet they are kicking and screaming the whole way. I might suggest that you take a class or two on robot programming though. Calling a service rep to do all your programming will cost you a lot. Besides...
ABB robots are a good choice. We have 6400's and also some fanuc robots. I prefer the ABB's. The teach pendant is a little harder to master but this will come in time. The fanuc are o.k. but the abb are better. We use are ABB's to pick parts from a trim press. We integrated the robot...
Birdly,
Do both machines act in the same manner? When you change recipes does the timing always change? How many recipes do you run on the machines?
It sounds to me that it is programmed to change. When did you notice that it started acting differently?
Keep trying you will get it

Birdly,
I will have to assume that the timers preset values are part of the recipies. Look for a move statement that moves a value into the timer in questions .Pre.
More information would be helpfull. Look for the timers in question. Due a cross reference on the timers then you will know...
Use extreme caution. you can control one slc from another slc, but I would not recommend it. Why do you want to do this in the first place? What do you hope to accomplish? How about a panelview or another HMI. A little more information would be helpful.

I have had to do this in the past. Rockwell allows you to reset the activation via the internet. just go to:
http://support.rockwellautomation.com/resetcodes/
there you will find instructions as to how to reset your activation.
you will need your master disk(floppy) to complete the task.
