I have an a b 503 plc that has different
recipies to do very much the same
tasks but at different speeds.
The problem is that when you change from one recipe
to another the timing of a divice will change.
Need all the help I can get on this....PLEASE!

Birdly,

I will have to assume that the timers preset values are part of the recipies. Look for a move statement that moves a value into the timer in questions .Pre.

More information would be helpfull. Look for the timers in question. Due a cross reference on the timers then you will know where the timers are used.

What are you trying to accomplish exactly?

Let me know how it goes,

The programs have been running on 2 machines
for 4 years or more. They normally run fine.
But recently they have started acting up in
different ways. The programs are the same for
both machines. I just installed surge protectors
on them but they still change their settings
on their own.

Hello;
Perhaps the memory conservation battery is at its limit? These batteries should be changed every two years or so. Contact your AB distribuitor for more information.

Birdly,

Do both machines act in the same manner? When you change recipes does the timing always change? How many recipes do you run on the machines?

It sounds to me that it is programmed to change. When did you notice that it started acting differently?

Keep trying you will get it
