Does anyone know how to automatically rename output sets to match load cases.
The default name is: 1..Simcenter NASTRAN Case 1. I have to rename them manually every time and sometimes I have a large number of load cases.

I'm looking at VM stress results on plate elements (2D) and I get different stress from criteria view vs contour view. I tried extracting results per element, avg on element, max on element, and still getting same result as Criteria View. Where does the Countour View numbers come from...

I'm running FEMAP on a new machine and when I run my model it doesn't generate any results, the f06 file is empty but it seems to run.
I saw this in the log file:

What does it mean?

yeah I think we're saying the same thing. In the case of a cylinder shaped fastener, your square would be the cross section of the cylinder if you cut it along the axis, that would be your square/plane that becomes a rhombus when deforming under shear.

I'm analyzing some fasteners modeled as bar elements, therefore I need to determine the tension and shear on the fastener.
FEMAP has output vectors shear forces (in both plane1 & plane2), this is confusing to me. Is this in both directions perpendicular to the bar?

I'm using DOF springs in my model and I know these elements can generate weird loads in model due to grounding if elements are not aligned with node output CSys.

I have two coincident nodes that I'm unable to merge. Does anyone know why coincident nodes would not show up as coincident when performing the check?

In some parts of my mesh quads are split into tri for some reason. I deleted the tris and created the quads manually but I'd like to know if there is a way to set up the mesher in order to avoid this from happening.
