The original drawing, I will call it A, was built from the assembly with the specification model set to the default arrangement. The base view was created and the arrangement, I will call it 1, was picked. Another drawing, B, was created using arrangement 2. Now I need a new drawing,C, that...
Yes I tried it. The drawing does not reflect the change. If you do properties->info on the view the information window shows that the view is still referencing the original arrangement.
I am using the master assembly approach. I have multiple drawings tied to one assembly. I need to make a new drawing with a new part number that is dimensionally the same as the current drawing. The differance will be visual with some different parts. So the current arrangement needs to stay...
I have a drawing that uses an arrangement in the assembly. I need to create a new drawing basically identical to it but I need to use a different arrangement for the drawing to referance. Is there a way I can save as the current drawing to my new drawing and then change the arrangement so that...
In the navigator under the arrangement that is in effect the instances that are in effect are unsuppresed and the instances that are not in effect are suppressed. I would like to know if there is a way to pick a supppresd instance in this arrangement and be able to find out what arrangements...
When I saw that column I thought it was the answer, but it appears to tell you what arrangement of the subassembly is being used not what arrangment the subassembly or instance is being used in.
I am in NX7.5. I have a large assembly with multiple arrangements. With a paticular part instance I would like to know what arrangements it is being used in (not suppresed), or if it is being used at all. I have not been able to find a way to do it. Does anyone know of a way to find this out?
When working with a machined part I like to have the raw material a solid color and then make all of the machining steps a different color so that when the machining steps are subtracted they are easy to visually verify that they are done. After completing a part our standard procedure is to...
I don't have a problem with it not being retained after I leave the dialog box. I would like it to be visible and available while I am in the dialog box and it is not. I tried show dimension and create line "results display" and I don't get any graphical representations nor does the dimension...
I have an assembly within which the axis system that appears under measure distance, projected distance, has disappeared. The tape measure ribbon has disappeared also. I am working in NX7.5. Is there a way to turn this off and on? It is a very good visual aid and makes picking the direction...
I have a tool part that does not touc the target part. Is there a way to tell the tool how to cut the target in the subtact command, or do I have to move the tool first and then subtract? So far moving first is the only way I can find to do it.
Thanks
I was afraid of that, but was hoping it wasn't so. Do you know if that is an enhancment that is being looked at? I was an Ideas user and this was easy to do in its drafting.
Thanks for your help.
I do want to sketch on the drawing and in the view so that the sketch will move with the view. I will try to explain better what I want to do. I am working on a multi page drawing of an assembly with many options. Their are arrangements for all of the options. One of the options is a small...
I am using NX7.5. I have view that I only need to use part of on a drawing. I can use view boundry to shrink the view to show what I want, but I need to sketch a couple of arcs in to indicate rotation of the parts, of the assembly, in the view. The sketched line needs to be symetrical, when...
