I can report now, that the 25mm bar survived bending to 51 degrees, with radius 40mm. It was bended to 52 degrees first, overnight it give back about 2 degrees and was then bended to correct it.
So the safe bending radius will start from 125mm? I've read some manufacturers are making roll bars from 4140 steel http://www.hellwigproducts.com/products/sway_control/sway_bars, but since that was not available I bought 34CrNiMo6. I guess they are being hot rolled then...

So it is quenched and tempered.
Bending machine looks like this

I dont know the exact type of it, but it should be capable.
The 34CrNiMo6 I have is from Böhler, grade V155.
Standard EN/DIN 1.6582.
Datasheet I found in finnish language
http://www.sten.fi/data/attachments/34CrNiMo6.pdf
and translated to english(as close as it gets from google)...
Hello
I would like to know is it possible to bend(cold) 25mm(1") round bar? I made a screenshot from drawing:
http://www.4shared.com/file/188315029/e454908b/bar.html
The 34CrNiMo6 is very close to 4340 steel...will it whitstand the bending to given dimensions?
It will be used for anti-roll bar...
