Hello
I would like to know is it possible to bend(cold) 25mm(1") round bar? I made a screenshot from drawing:
The 34CrNiMo6 is very close to 4340 steel...will it whitstand the bending to given dimensions?
It will be used for anti-roll bar.
Thank you

yahhe;
What equipment are you intending to use for this series of bends?

Most important, what is the heat treatment condition of the 34CrNiMo6 bar?

According to 1.6582 en the elongation is guarantied to 10%. However, bending it to radius of 75 mm will give elongation of 16.7% on the outer radius of 75+12.5=87.5 mm. Therefore, it may crack.

Based on their description, it appears that they hot form the bars, not cold form them, and the parts are then heat treated after forming. Distortion would be an issue with this type of process, possibly corrected with a "straightening" operation, meaning the parts are formed again after heat treating, but with very small strains since the basic shape has already been created.

Any suggestios for a steel mark that can be used for this type of application and can be bended to given dimensions without previous heat treatment?

I can report now, that the 25mm bar survived bending to 51 degrees, with radius 40mm. It was bended to 52 degrees first, overnight it give back about 2 degrees and was then bended to correct it.
