Thanks for your input, we do plan on having a Structural Engineer design the reinforcement, this is kind of just preliminary budgetary type design.
Good idea on the thicker base slab, we will go with a 14" slab.
The Lid Slab can go thicker, maybe 12"? But there will not be any traffic loads...
Hi,
I need guidance on the Reinforcement Design of a Concrete Lift Station. I'm not a structural engineer, and do not have the proper software to do this design, so I just wanted to get an idea of what kind of Rebar Schedule you guys typically require. Any help would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks for your comments.
Take a look at my Preliminary design, it is setup somewhat different than the Wieser station, but same concept.
Things I've noticed about this design, compared with the traditional installation:
-Less Piping Required
-No Differential Settlement
-Ease of Installation...
How can a large Wet Well (10' or 12') be Vacuum tested if the Access Hatch is not Air Tight?
And also other holes in the Top Slab such as holes for Electrical/Floats which can be difficult to plug.
Does anyone have any experience with "Integral Valve Vault" Lift Stations, such as this one manufactured by Wieser Concrete:

If so, can anyone comment on their Pros/Cons compared with traditional separated Wet Well/Valve Vault?
I have...
