    OHIP calculation with GOR

What cell does B11 reference? Is there a value in B11?

    OHIP calculation with GOR

What units are you in? Is this surface or reservoir numbers?

    pressure build-up tests

Please clarify more on the "balls" comment, you randomly threw that one in. I assume you were running in with wireline?

    Good fracture stimulation book?

Go catch a few hundred frac jobs and then you can start reading books.

Helppp with calculating significance of the results

Two things: Is the data normal or non-normal? I don't work with genomic data, so I have no idea what you are/not measuring. Compare the median if it's non-normal data. Secondly, perform a one sample T test as long as you have the population's standard deviation and median/mean. This will...

shooting fluid levels - obtaining down hole information esp wells

That's not a west texas well with casing that size, that almost sounds like an offshore well. One of the largest and VERY rare production casing strings you'll see in W. Texas is 7". Heck, most people are running 9-5/8" for surface casing.

shooting fluid levels - obtaining down hole information esp wells

30mscf/d shouldn't be a problem. I've produced 3MMscfd of C02 per day through one without a downhole separator.

shooting fluid levels - obtaining down hole information esp wells

Just remember that comparing rod pumps and ESP's are not equivalent. You need to keep SOME sort of constant fluid level with an ESP, opposed to none/minimal with a rod pump (pumped off). A neat project we did was run actual BHP transducers with the ESP's and then shot fluid levels and then...

    Liquid Level In The Wellbore

I second Nic's proposal, and Echo Meter has free software to calculate estimated top of fluid.

Fracture / Acid Wash / Squeeze Stimulation Treatments

Essentially a DFIT, data frac, mini frac are all the same. If the well was shut in with gauges placed on surface or downhole and the resulting SIWHP was analyzed it was not for testing the limits of fracturing the formation. It was to determine fluid efficiency and if pseudo steady state was...

Fracture / Acid Wash / Squeeze Stimulation Treatments

Data Frac has nothing to do with your title. A "Data Frac" is another way of saying DFIT (diagnostic fracture injection test) or "Mini Frac" or FET (fluid efficiency test) where you determing the fluid efficiency of your formation. Other parameters or properties can be derived if the right...

    Stats Help!!!! Need it asap!

I'm up all night watching a frac, so I'll go ahead and chime in. 1) Determine if your data is normal or not. 2) Once you determine normality, use appropriate hypothesis testing of data. Hypothesis testing normal data will tell you if all the means are/not equal. This is just my two cents and...

    Stats Help!!!! Need it asap!

Are you going to compare the mean of the data set to a standard or given data point based off of historical data?

Problems getting well to flow after extended shut in

Was the well hydraulically fracced? How permeable is your reservoir? IDK if people on here are going to be able to give you specifics (field, time, etc), as I think your best bet is an SPE.org/OnePetro search on their eLibrary.

Optimum Make Up Torque for 5.5" Casing

Good rule of thumb, if you are expecting gas pressures over 4500psi, then use gas tight connections.

Future of Petroleum Engineering for the next 50 years

Don't do it. You'll only make double the starting salary of other engineering disciplines, travel the world for free, and be in high demand. Oil and natural gas are only getting harder to find. What used to take one person to find a barrel of oil, now takes atleast twice that. I guess you...

Hot to calculate sand settling velocity in heavy oil well?

What about stokes law? This is used quite often hydraulic fracturing simulations.
