RodeteG - good idea. After some research, flexible impeller pumps do look like the best option if I really want reversible flow. Some other types of positive displacement pumps such as gear, lobed or screw would also be reversible although not as viable as flexible impeller. The problem is the...
Thanks for the responses - it sounds like my magical two way pump might not exist, at least not cheap. Two pumps may be the way to go - the simplest plumbing arrangements I can come up with cost more than adding a second pump.
Any more advice is much appreciated though!
I'm struggling with what seems to be a simple problem: I need to be able to pump water in or out of a 200 gallon tank at 3-5 gpm, 5 - 20 psi.
What is the most economical approach? Are there bi-directional pumps that will do this? Or should I be looking at flow - reversal valves? I'd like to...
I've been searching for a 3 way mixing valve, electrically actuated, in the 3" to 4" range (Cv ~200). The application is not actually HVAC but so far all the valves I've found are for HVAC, so I thought I'd see if anyone here can help me.
I've found several valves from Belimo, Siemens, and...
Good point Dustin. I really only needed it to be flexible to check clearances to a couple of components, but once I did that there's no reason it has to remain flexible. I have noticed it slows everything down so I'll probably end up using configurations as you said.
I have an assembly with three levels, SW 2008. On the second level I have a box with hinges, which I want to be able to open and close from the top level. I made the hinges in the box assembly flexible, which lets me open and close the box just fine. But on the top level, I made the box assembly...
I'm using the routing tool in SW2008 for creating some electrical harnesses. I made a few without too many issues, but this latest one is driving me crazy. The harness has a total of six wires (6 splines drawn, using Auto Route), but only 3 of them have wire definitions assigned. When I go to...
Hi drawoh,
I tried making the assembly flexible, which sounded like a good idea, but it doesn't behave as I would expect. It does allow me to place connectors where I want them, but the wire route doesn't update to where it needs to be. There is a stoplight next to the route in the feature...
Hi, I'm tasked with making a few wiring harness diagrams, and have just started playing around with the Router. We have SW 2008.
The problem I'm running in to is our company policy is to break all external references before putting a model / assembly in PDM, but it doesn't seem like this is...
