Solidworks Routing, wire definitions disappearing!??

I'm using the routing tool in SW2008 for creating some electrical harnesses. I made a few without too many issues, but this latest one is driving me crazy. The harness has a total of six wires (6 splines drawn, using Auto Route), but only 3 of them have wire definitions assigned. When I go to "Edit Wires", I can add definitions to the other 3 wires, but as soon as I exit out the wire definitions disappear. Furthermore, if I try to delete the original 3 wires' definitions, they reappear as soon as I exit out. If I delete the *fromToList.xml file, it reappears with the same data no matter what I do.

Any ideas?? Are my wire properties being driven from another source? The one thing that I did differently with this harness is that I created a drawing of it when only 3 of the 6 wires were defined, could that have something to do with it?

Any advice would me much appreciated, my VAR is not very helpful.

Restarting my computer fixed the problem - if there's something I can do to prevent it happening again I'm all ears!

Only every night, Anna? I restart my computer at least once per day.

I guess I should stop being lazy - I usually just lock out my computer during the week, restart on weekends.

I always start with a fresh reboot every morning, and make a pot of coffee while I'm waiting ... running an old P4 ... and then we're both ready to face the day.
