    Electrical heating Furnace

Hi, I am designing a electric heating furnace having different layers of insulation following by a outer metal casing. Its a 150 kW furnace. I have the thermal conductivity & thickness details for all insulation layers. I would like to calculate the outer skin temperature of the casing. What is...

Heat flow through composite wall with varying cross-sectional area

Amount of heat transfer 'Q' depends upon the thermal resistivity/conductivity of the materials. However, once the material reaches it maximum heat holding capacity it transfer all heat. Hence, 'Q' should be same for A and B materials. But the heat flux/rate of heat transfer would be different...

    Liquid details in PV Elite

Hi Guys, Can any one answer the below questions? 1. Whether liquid details entered in PV Elite gives any impact on thickness calculation? 2. If liquid details are not entered by designer in PV Elite, what details will be considered automatically for thickness calculation? 3. Whether the design...

Lifting lugs on vertical vessel top head

Thanks guys..! The vessel is to be lifted vertically. I would like to design it in PV Elite itself. 3 nos. lifting lugs are required at 120° each on top dished head. Is it possible to do the design in PV Elite on the top dished head?
