Compressor curves with GERG 2008 in Prode

thanks for the note, as said in my previous post I have verified the results from Prode Properties with the values reported in that paper, appendix a the columns for 600-Step Numerical Integration, as I understand, Prode adopts a 5 points integration method, which I have verified to be very fast...

Compressor curves with GERG 2008 in Prode

PaoloPemi, thanks, I have verified the accuracy with the reference method discussed in the paper, to obtain the same values (calculated with the integration method in Prode) the reference method requires hundred of small steps... and much more time, rotw, I calculated the values with the...

Compressor curves with GERG 2008 in Prode

I am evaluating compressor performances comparing results from different models in Prode Properties, I am mainly interested to compare high-accuracy Helmholtz-energy models ( GERG 2008 ) vs. three parameter corresponding states ( Lee Kesler Plocker ) vs. virial models ( Modified BWR ) As...

    Reid Vapor Pressure

    thanks georgeverghese.

    Reid Vapor Pressure

Hans, I did the test, the method StrRVP() for calculating Reid Vapor Pressure extracts the liquid fraction (if I include fractions which are vapor at 0C atm) before to simulate the ASTM D323 procedure, do you have an idea about the possible errors with this procedure ?

    Reid Vapor Pressure

I have a question about Reid Vapor Pressure as calculated by Prode Properties, the manual says the software simulates the ASTM D323 procedure, my question is about composition to enter, is that of liquid phase or the stream composition ? Thanks.

    Specifying Specific Specific Gravity

if you have doubts call the vendor asking to explain :-)

phase envelope (natural gas + water)

which thermodynamic models should I select in Prode Properties for calculating the phase diagram of a mixture with hydrocarbons + water + methanol ? Thanks !

Control Valve two-phase flow with PRODE software

Rense, I agree that for specific applications one should ask the manufacturer but, as said, I cant' get support and I need to verify a few cases for two phases flow, thank you for your suggestion to get the Excel page for control valves from Prode (I didn't know there was a specific application)

Control Valve two-phase flow with PRODE software

do you have experience with HNE model available in Prode Software when applied to control valves (two phase flow) ? I have some cases where the usual ISA formulations seem to produce unreliable results (revamp of existing plant) I have data sheets and drawings but valve manufacturer is no longer...

    vapor-liquid phase envelope in MATLAB

does MATLAB 32 work in Excel 64 with PRODE Properties process library ? I have recently upgraded to Windows 64 and cannot run the vapor-liquid phase envelope m file.

vapor-solid flash to model a blow down

could it be the Gas Processors Association ?

    C6+ characterization for natural gas

the basic components of a JT skid (pressure reducer + separation) are parts of std. plants, the heat exchanger can improve process efficiency but not too much according my experience, to effectively control the dew point I think a chilling plant (mechanical compression) would be much better, but...

Gas cooling in a pipe and pressure drop

the result (80->50C) would be a reduced density, velocity and pressure drop

    C6+ characterization for natural gas

a chilling plant would be a good solution, but the price could be higher than the analyzer...

    C6+ characterization for natural gas

if that is the case (no processing) expect variable compositions (and dew points) depending from dp across choke valve, ambient temperature (as suggested by zdas04) and possibly other factors.
