    necking analysis with patran and md nastran

    Thank a lot ZeroExperience I currently use md nastran 2008, for sol600 is good for me to solve this problem type, sol106 (default of nonlinear static) is not work but i have never try sol400 before. Is sol400 better than sol600 for inplicit nonlinear?

    Hi, nightfox8891 You should ask customer support team of patran seller for solve this problem issue. Anyway the patran version 2010.1.2 has been solved this problem. If you have not 2010.1.2, you should change interface from skin type to classic, it can solve problem also.

    Thank for Helping Zeroexperience. Just now I have modeled with with patran and submited dat-file to marc. And no probelm found. I could run it. So I think the problem may cause from setting p3_trans.ini configuration file. (I set it to file run_marc.bat).
