I'm being asked to design a mini-storage structure with the same shearwalls as the previous structure for which existing plans are provided to me.
The problem i have is that the shear walls are designed with 1-1/2" x 16 gage staples instead of nails. The ANSI / AF&PA SDPWS-2008 does not provide load tables for staples that i can see. I believe i've seen older load tables for such a design, but, i cannot locate them at this time.
Is anyone familiar with wood shearwall load tables with 1-1/2" x 16 gage staples?
Thank you!
