I've been messing around with weldments using lumber profiles, and it makes doing take-offs a cinch when you insert the weldment cut-list into the drawing. I didn't see anywhere else to download them from, so I though I would share them here for anyone to use if they wanted. Hope you enjoy!

I'm working on a profile library for "woodworking size" profiles as well with exact dimensional wood shapes (i.e. .75" x 2" for door frames) for furniture design, and I'll also probably make one for Engineered lumber as well. I'll post them later if anyone's interested.

Thanks! I'd be interested. We are mainly metal fabricators but occasionally need to layout platforms or containers.

I'm trying to set up some weldment part files with them just to see what all I can do. Here's a 2x4 stud wall. I'm going to be adding equations to it so that when I change the overall size and length of the wall the number of studs per section increase/decrease accordingly. I plan on making some with window/door openings as well, but I want to make those to where I can insert them into a wall section and it removes the studs putting the window/door feature inplace of.

I saw the Moulding thread, but not the other when I was searching. My zip adds the posts but that's all. Thanks for sharing!

Here's a framing package I did for anyone to take a look at. All the equations are in place, just pick the overall size, number of doors, and correct config on the drawing to generate the right BOM. I'm going to set this up on DriveWorksExpress when I get a chance to see how well it works with that.
