Can anyone help me with published load and tyre dimension data for 180/85D12 Agricultural tire-rnk

Are you sure about the tire size?

It doesn't match anything currently produced in any type of service - let alone an agricultural tire. I've also gone back to look at previously used tire sizing schemes and there's no match there as well.

Followup on my previous post.

I googled the tire size and found Bridgestone has a tire in that size. So I went to the tire standards books, but nothing came up for the size. That might mean they are doing something non-standard, so contacting the tire manufacturer is the only way to get the info.

Thanks for your help .i am aware BRIDGESTONE AND FIRESTONE make this tyre -through google of course ,how come there are no standards yet!!!!.can you still help --rnk krishnan

Why are there no standards? There are no rules that say there has to be a standard. Every tire manufacturer is allowed to do what they want.

Does it makes sense to develop a standard and comply with it? Yes. Just like it makes sense for bolts and nuts to be standardized. The real advantage is for the consumer and the vehicle manufacturers. They can have multiple sources.

Does it make sense to NOT have a standard? Only if you are the manufacturer - exclusivity. Although, it doesn't take very long for others to enter the fray if there is enough business.

Can I help you further? No. As I said, I looked in all the usual tire standards manuals and I don't see anything there. And as I pointed out, an email to Brdigestone or Firestone should get results.
