180 deg. Elbow Joint Manufacturer?

I am hoping someone can help me find a manufacturer of a particular type of mechanical joint. The joint is to be used in a collapsing assembly with light loads (self weight only). The kind of joint I had in mind was the type that locks into position at 180 deg. position, and allows rotation by some sort of release mechanism, similar to the kind used to fold table umbrellas.

I would really appreciate any suggestions, went to Home Depot and they didn't have a clue (hey it's a start).

carr lane makes a locking knuckle joint that will actually support some weight. They are expensive $100 plus.

Hi There,
How many of these joint's are you expecting
to use as we have in the past had special items especially
Turned Part's made for us by a Producer of similar items
but of course it really depend's on volume.
Alot of specialist co's like this if you have a Blueprint
which work's will give a good reasonable costing for a set
qty. Alot of people in the past approached these co's with
maybe good ideas on paper ande after several prototypes and
changes the initial idea changed and also the cost risen.
This co helps with design as they helped us in the past
and if certain changes helps to have the ITEM made more
efficently,cost lower, they will tell you this. I have not
being in touch with them for some time but if it is helpful
leave a message with contact e-mail with some idea of volume
and I will get them to contact you.

This may sound crazy but not knowing your application I'm going to say it anyway. Have you considered a 'U' trap, the kind tha you'll find under the kitchen sink, made from plated brass or pvc, it uses a compression nut and washer to adjust the angle to the drain pipe. Hey I said it sounded crazy and you did say you'd tried Home Depot ....Mike
