Do you have to have wire glass in a 1 hour rated storefront. I thought I some rated ones that were clear glass and 1 hr rated, 2 1/2" thick frame.

There is rated clear glass.

Is this a store or some other business?

So is this storefront inside a building??

Or an outside store, with the storefront open to the atmosphere??

Just trying to figure out why you need the rating?????

Or is there an interior one hour wall that runs up and stops at the storefront???

Not enough information to make any sort of an informed decision. Which building code, what's a store front, what's the location of the store front in relation to the property line(s), what's the occupancy classification, is the building protected by an automatic sprinkler system?

interior storefront. pleanty of reasons like a one hour rated corridor. maybe in a school , an admin office off a corridor where you can see thru into the office or classroom. i think i have seen these online but someone told me you need wire glass for 1hr rating.

As others have said, there is clear rated glass. Just search the manufacturers. You can also use Tyco WS to get a rated glass, provided you follow the listing exact.
