HI,

Dear All ,

I have bough Vertical Multistage pumps 3/phase ( 1 stand by & 1 Operation ) with a Control Panel ( Smart EVO 2 ) ,

i have done the following steps to run the pump no.2 ( since Pump no.1 in on Standby ) with an on/off Float Switch in emptying/Auto mode :

First Step - ( Jumper from G to P1 in G/p1 )
Second Step - ( Jumper from G to P2 in G/p2 )
Third Step - ( Float Switch Connection to C and Max as per float switch datasheet for emptying mode , even tried jumper between C-Max , min felt alone no connection there )
Fourth Step - ( Dip Switch 5 is set to Empty position which in ON )

The Pump Panel have Green Light on bought : Electricity & AUTo Mode , but the pump just not start in Auto Mode , am i doing some thing wrong ,
Note : the Power Supply is ok ,

Plus if i want to run the same system with a pressure switch , where should i connect the L1 and L2 lines for the Pressure Switch to run the system in automatic mode ( what ever the setting of pressure in pressure switch ),

Guys please help me out , i am really frustrated ,

Attachment the Panel Datasheet

As far as I can see, this panel is set up to run both pumps at the same time, not an standby and operation pump scenario.

I think you've bought the wrong panel.

Also please post your wiring diagram.

@LittleInch

actually the Pumps Came Along with the Panel from the manufacture ,

Please Check the Attachment , i have already attached the Pump Control Panel Datasheet which includes all the modes and wiring diagram

I meant YOUR wiring diagram for what wires yuo r connection g to which terminals.

Describe how you plan to operate these pumps in terms or turning them on and off.

Do you have a single float or a level guage/ float?

What is the positron of ALL the dip switches?

@LittleInch

First the Setting for the Dip Switches are as following ,

Dip Switch - 1 : OFF
Dip Switch - 2 : ON
Dip Switch - 3 : OFF
Dip Switch - 4 : OFF
Dip Switch - 5 : ON
Dip Switch - 6 : OFF
Dip Switch - 7 : OFF
Dip Switch - 8 : OFF

For the Operation at the i want to operate the pumps with a single High Level Float Switch ( for example : Emptying of Water Tank Mode )

plus i have the Same set of Pumps which i want to use as a Pressure Maintenance with a Single pressure Switch .

in both the Conditions i want the one pump to be standby at all the time ( so the Operation for this Pump will be only when i want to change the all system wireing and keep the Pump 2 on stand by , or operate manually )

Ok,

it's not the best written manual I've ever seen...

As far as I can see both pumps should start as the G/P1 is closed. To only run one the standby unit should be open circuit. P1 is pump 1, P2 is pump 2. so if you want to run P2 then open circuit P1.

To start the C-max should close to start.

I can't see how the Pressure input can work with only a single float unless you just wire them in series so the pump only starts on high level and low pressure.

@LittleInch

it's not the best written manual I've ever seen... ( its the Worst Written manual i have seen so far or the Weirdest panel)

I have Tried as you mentioned the pump works now in automatic mode but the pumps run for 1 min almost and then stop automatically , no idea why

i actually Jumperd the C-Max and Added a Float Switch on the G/P2 to run the pump number 2 only , and G/P1 Circuit is open ,

I was Wondering that if i use a Pressure Switch on G/P2 instead of the Float Switch , i can Run the Pump 2 to maintain the Pressure only Rite ??

Plus we can also use a Float Switch on the C-max ? so we now have 2 commands set ,now the pump will work if we have Water in the Tank to empty ( no dry run ) OR the pressure have gone down and started the pump , if any one contractor is not satisfied , the pump wont run ?? am i rite ?? please advice

There seem to be a variety of trips and relays on the panel which might need adjustment or setting properly - look at section 7.2 & 7.3. and set the trip settings from the motor data. It might think your motor is either over current or under current.

Does the float just reach the point where it goes open circuit after 1 minute?

You might be able to do as you suggest for two input system.

You need to take a multimeter and find out what the float switch is doing on high level and low level. for this system it needs to be closed circuit to operate and open to stop, as afar as I can determine so you need to check the wiring connectors on the float.

Basically trial and error I think.
