I have two 12v DC electric motors (link below) and I wish to attach them to a single power source via a motor controller. I am looking to get a DC power cable to connect to the mains to power these rather than use a bunch of batteries, what voltage and current should I be looking for?

many thanks!

You will have to find out the Amps draw. Then you may select a 12, 13, or 14 Volt DC power supply of suitable capacity.

The current draw is 0.18A so to operate these two in a single circuit running at full speed what would supply would I need please?

How critical is the speed?
Brush type DC motor speed is closely proportional to applied voltage. (Assuming a PM field.)
If this is meant for automotive applications it may want 13.8 Volts or slightly higher voltage to turn rated speed.
A 5 Amp, 12 Volt power supply may work. Some would say 7 Amps or 8 amps to handle starting surge, but unless the power supply has very fast protection, a 5 Amp supply will probably handle the brief starting surge.

I am assuming he will have both motors in parallel, right? Otherwise, he'd have ~6 volts across motor 1 and ~ (12 - 6 volts) on the motor 2.

If so, won't both motors slow if run in parallel since the common wire between 12 volt supply and the motors has greater current 9resistance) losses than if only one motor is running? Or is this current loss negligible compared to the running sown of voltage as a battery discharges.?

With properly sized wire, the voltage drop should be negligible.

Many thanks for the responses.

Is something like this ok?

That should serve well.
