20g in XYZ 1

Hi friends,

I have a problem with Definition of forces in FEM. I have a box and this box fixed in cabin of airplane and should stay undamaged in 20g in x-y-z by Crash.

The under contours (only left and right) are defined as constrains!

The box contains another box as mass for 2.5 kg!

And now my problem:

- Is that a crash(impact)simulation or I can define the forces in linear static!

The FEM Software is Fusion360 from Autodesk®

you're being told specific requirement (20g) not a general requirement (survive a crash at 20 mph) ... so apply your inertial load.

I would not suggest fixing the edge constraint ... pinned if you have to. I am not a fan of FEA bundled into CAD as it tends to be too "simple"

another day in paradise, or is paradise one day closer ?
 
Never used it. Many tutorials out there. One can apply in a linear static syudy a linear global load which can be a global acceleration.
