Does anyone know of any easy way to import into 2D a tiff image? or any easy way to convert a tiff into a cgm file or any other 2d format that will read into 2D.

Thanks JM

You won't be able to get any raster image such as Tiff directly into I-DEAS.

If you could convert it to a CGM, even though this is a vector format, this still isn't an Import option in I-DEAS.

If the Tiff image contains clear contours/profiles on it that can be differentiated from the background then Img2CAD should able to generate a DXF file that could be imported into the Master Drafting module.

Photoshop also has some capabilites in generating a Vector file from a raster image.
