Hi,

Does anyone know how I can apply a total load of 75 N in steps of 12.5 N on a node of a cable net system in a time period of 120s (so 12.5 N every 20s)?
I have managed to apply the total final load of 75 N but I cannot find a way of dividing the load into steps.

I am new to ABAQUS so it would be very appreciated if you explain in a bit of detail how to do it :)

I have attached a photo of the previous results I got: I am trying to make the ABAQUS analysis (blue dots) to match the Experimental Data (grey dots).

Thank you!!

Matteo

In your step definition, you can set the total time. Then in the incrementation tab you set minimum and maximum increments to be equal to 20s (75/12.5=6 -> 120/6=20 sec).

Thanks Settler for you explanation, but it still doesn't work. I have attached an image of the results and in the "Edit XY Data" table, when X=20 Y should be =0.005 or something similar.

Any idea of what I am doing wrong?

Unfortunately, I don't know the properties, or if the test is reliable.

Is there anything I can do so you can understand better what I am looking for?
