Hello,

I am trying to check 11' (3)2x6 (spurce pine fir) post tensile strength. can somebody please help me out to find that?

Need to provide more information: In general, you have an area of 3 x 1.5 x 5.5 for the lumber. Depending on the Member Type, Species and Grade there will be an limit strength of ??? psi. The product will give you a limit load when multiplied by a material factor (phi). You then have to design a fastener of transferring this load... sorry I only use LRFD.

NDS chapters 3 and 4 have everything you need. What's tripping you up? (Also, structural questions are better asked the structural forum...lot's more people there to help.)
