Try like this,

X Y Z-------Line
U V W-------Open SLOW SPEED

U V W--------Line
X Y Z--------Join Together HIGH SPEED

Hope this helps

is there any other configurations?

Yes, the first reply applies to constant torque application (Delta - Low speed Wye - High speed)

If it is a constant hp application, it would be Delta - High speed and Wye - Low speed.

You need to contact the motor supplier to know which connection is applicable (is there not a nameplate on this motor that tells you how to connect it for both speeds ?)

Hi
your connections will depend on the type of windings in the motor....the above connections by kuldipkenya are for a motor with a tapped winding..which can be identified by a continuity test between your terminals...on this type of motor there will be a circuit between all 6 output leads!!!
the other type is a dual wound motor with two completely seperate windings!! ie..U V W and X Y Z with circuits between themselves only...u-v-w x-y-z and nothing between the two windings...
if that is the case , it is as simple as supplying one winding or the other....leaving the other windings open.

hope this helps
Jeff
