3 pole, low profile, panel mount connector (jack & plug) 2

Hi all,

As the title suggests, I'm looking for a compact connector where both the jack and plug can be mounted on a panel.

Those are the attributes that i need from the connector:
1) Compact - it should be of a low profile as possible and can fit in a 24mm Dia. hole.
2) 3 Pole contact
3) Non-directional - (sorry if the term is incorrect) the connector parts can be rotated along their axis freely relative to each other without loosing contact, something like a headphone jack or the connector of an electric kettle

I know that what I'm asking is very general but anything can help, name of brand, type of connectors...

Is the 24mm already in place?
If so why is there a hole before you have selected a proper connector?
Why do both need to be panel mount?
Is there a cable used between them or something?

This is more of a conceptual suggestion, in case it helps.

I don't think it's practical directly. More a suggestion of a general concept.

You could have panel mount headphone sockets on each of the two panels, and then use a double male to connect the two sockets. Not necessarily 3.5mm, might be larger. Same general idea could apply to other connector styles.

1) Current & Voltage - It'll work with 1.3Ah 12VDC power supply.
2) 24mm diameter hole feature - part of the product requirements.
3) Both need to be panel mount - i have 2 parts, one has a hole feature with one end caped, the other one has a shaft feature (male and female). the parts should act as a "bridging" connector and has to be able to rotate along their axis relative to each other (a very simplified description). Due to the product requirements the gap that i can leave between the two part for the connector is very limited. I hope that this explanations give a better view of why i need both the parts of the connector to be panel mount and low profile.

It's a good idea, I'll look into it.

But i was hoping that there is a type of connectors that has the same features of interlocking and 360 degree of contact.

Something like a slip ring, but need the ability to connect and disconnect exactly like with an electric kettle, that you can take it off to fill with water and place it back again as many time as you like.
