Hello,
Is anyone able to help me to identify what the precast roof panels are in the attachment? They are 18" wide and 3" thick and contain some welded wire reinforcement as can be seen in the attachment. There is some sort of 1/2" thick fiber board on top of the panels and then rubber roofing. The structure was built in 1957.
I would love it if someone could identify this system so I know what it is called. Ultimately, I need to determine an estimated dead load. If I use 145 pounds per cubic foot density for concrete, the steel joists are completely maxed out, which is indeed possible.
At first I was thinking that the system was a poured gypsum roof deck, but after seeing it in person, it seems like concrete. Any thoughts?
Thanks!
