Which is the way to find this in NX?

If i guess what it is we are talking about, I do not think Parasolid allows it. There was a lot of discussions regarding non-manifold bodies when NX merged with I-deas, but i have not seen any of that in NX.
What system is the origin of the question ?

Tomas

In Checkmate there is an Over-used Edges check which looks like it should achieve what you need. It's under Template/Modeling/Advanced Geometry Check - Edges.

Thank you very much.

The body comes fron I-deas and is non manifold, but I want to find where are the errors. I will try Checkmate.

Technically Parasolid can support non-manifold models it's just that when we designed UG/NX based around Parasolid that we chose to use an option that disallows this. Now this was done prior to the SDRC/Ideas acquisition when our primary goal was to only create models which could be physically realized, as in machining them. By definition, non-manifold models can not be manufactured. Now NX does allow some topological conditions which are technically non-manifold, but these are generally limited to certain face tangent conditions like this one:

As for the need to create models for analysis where non-manifold conditions might be needed, this is being accomplished during the creation of the FEM models and does not require that the actual solid model be created non-manifold just that the analysis model can be.

Jon,

If you're not doing an I-deas to NX conversion to retain features, have you tried exporting a Parasolid from I-deas, if it's available?

Finally I´ve found that the part had a hole which boolean substract had failed in I-deas. In order to find it have used check mate face-face intersections. Over used edges test was passed and didn´t find the problem.

Thanks very much to all of you.
