What is difference between 304 Vs 316 Stainless steel?

From the operators perspective the difference is about 30. That's 30% more expensive.
 
When bright annealed in very dry hydrogen 304 is yellower and 316 is bluer, if your eyes are good enough (and lighting is good also) to see it.

Next to nothing, when comparing corrosion resistance...
 
316 is marginally better, I agree. The additional Mo helps mostly against pitting corrosion. But neither is worth much in a susceptible, chloride-rich environment.
 
The only real difference in Cl pitting resistance is the time to initiation, not the inevitability of corrosion.
