Sorry folks

But I have a strange thing happening, I drew a componet in 3d , then What I do in layout I use soldraw etc. But when I am in model space and execute a view comand such as rotate or 3d view The object disappears and becomes a microscopic dot the the void known as model space
I can find it again either by undo , or zoom dynamic untill I see a dot move

Ive tried setting limits and grid any one know what I have done wrong or what I have done

Ive tried copying to a new drawing but still the same thing happens

Kind regards Stephen

try zoom extents , it should zoom everything that you have recently drawn . also you could stick the ucs to a coner of your job , that will lock you view in a lot better .
have fun Robb

Presumably you are getting to model space through a viewport in paper space.

Check that the system variable UCSFOLLOW (type this name on the command line) is set to 1 inside the viewport.

If Zoom extents doesn't seem to work, you might have accidently placed an object so far away from your drawing the the window has to zoom that far out in order to see it. Look for other, even smaller dots that are off to the edge opposite where you find your drawing.

Good luck
Fine Then

Do a select all
then type r to remove the small dot you see

then do a erase
previous

them zoom extent
Please fell free to sen me your drawing to k281969@hotmail.com
