Hi all,
Thanks for all the help so far. I've downloaded and used FEMM to compute some forces in 2D and the results are resonably close to our experimental data.
I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a 3D magnetic FEA program that isn't more than a few thousand $$ -- I have contacted a couple of companies from the list in the FAQ, but I thought I'd ask if anyone is using one they are happy with. The 'Integrated Engineering Software -- Amperes' looked good, but at $19,900 it is too much for us. I think we would use the software enough to justify spending a couple thousand.
Thanks,
Chris
