Hello all.

Here in company we upgraded our Teamcenter from 8 to 10, and VIS from 8 to 10.1.

After that, our 3Dconnexion devices stopped working inside VIS products.

Either inside or outside Teamcenter... for all users.

I already tried to reset the user environment as somebody said in other topic that could be a possible solution, but it still not working.

Any other Ideas?

We are using some different devices and drivers, as listed below.

- 3DxWare 10.3.0, 3DxWinCore 17.3.0.12346, SpacePilot (firmware v. 3.12)

- 3DxWare 10.1.2, 3DxWinCore 17.1.2.10488, SpacePilot Pro (firmware v. 4.11)

The "VR Device Support" component, from VIS installation is already installed.

The Vis products are tricky in the matter that you have to run a "high level license" of Vis to get the Spacemouse running.
I don't know exactly but i think that TC Vis Base and Standard (?) do not support Spacemouse but TC Vis Mockup does.

I think that If you have the mockup license, you can start the "lower levels" ( i.e Standard/Base) , and then the spacemouse will not work.
If you start the "Vis Base" standalone, "Vis Base" will be the viewer in Teamcenter on the next start of TC.
- Start Vis Mockup standalone and it will be Vis Mockup that runs inside teamcenter on the next start.

I have found no way to tell what license of Vis is running inside Teamcenter.
Maybe if you double click a JT dataset and get the separate window the top of the screen will will tell the license.

Hello again guys.

Some updated information about this.

I've informed the versions switched. New TCe version is 10th and the VIS is 10.1.

Tomas, we always use VisMockup here. I've checked again to know if I was using other vis product, but no, it's really the mockup product.

I noticed that with JT files (3D), the 3Dconnexion is working fine.

The problem occurs just with 2D files (pdf, tiff, cgm). The zoom is the only movement that works in 2D files, and it is very very slow. You have to make the movement in 3D mouse and lock your fingers pulling or pushing the joystick for a few seconds to screen moves just a bit, then it moves another bit, and then another one.

This screen movement are not smooth. It is very slow and frame by frame. Sometimes even zoom don't works.

Pan movement don't work at all.
