Hello guys,

I am working in a simulation for a final assignment and I must use an orthotropic material. I am also using my model as a shell. So my question is how do I calculate the coefficient for the orthotropic matrix:

D1111 D2222 D3333 D1122 D1133 D2233 D1212 D1313 D2323

My proprieties are:

Young's Modulus X direction 1.7E+10
Young's Modulus Y direction 6.2E+08
Young's Modulus Z direction 6.2E+08
Poisson's Ratio XY 0.3
Poisson's Ratio YZ 0.3
Poisson's Ratio XZ 0.3
Shear Modulus XY 3.1E+08
Shear Modulus YZ 8.5E+09
Shear Modulus XZ 3.1E+08

In attached I am sending images of my model and of the equations which are supossed to calculate the coefficients that I found in the internet.

Thanks a lot!

Why don't you just use the "*Engineering constants" option?

(Material, elastic, type = engineering constants)
