hi all, i'm experiencing a big and tedious issue with autocad 2011. when i draw a line in autocad 2011 in 3d environment the end point is locked into z=0 plane. is there any variables i can set to fix the problem?

don't like signature that much

Type in your beginning coordinates. (1,1,1)

Maybe your "osnapz" is set to 1; this causes z be set to zero when snapping to points.

draw your lines using your (x,y,z) coodinates for the end points.

Run OPTIONS command
Go to Drafting tab
In lower left corner uncheck the following option:
- Replace Z value with current elevation.

I think it's constrained to the plane defined by your current ucs, unless you snap to an entity not on that plane, or enter the endpoints explicitly. You can use UCS to work on the X=0 and Y=0, or other planes.
