I would appreciate if somebody gives me any information on 3D scanners, or anything else, used to detect defects and, eventually control dimension of products on production line. Te idea is to compare actual part with its 3D model.
Thanks in advance!
Bob
Thank you Cory. I already went through this site and this is not what I am looking for. I need something that would actually perform check on production line, in real time. Also, I do not need complete 3D image of a product. I need a surface scan (just from one side). I have contacted a few companies that are in this business but all they had was for automotive, reverse engineering, etc.
I am still looking. It has to be something out there.
Anyways, I really appreciate your help.
This is a link to Nikons CNC Video measuring systems. We use one in our metrology lab for custom inspections. Im not sure if this is what you are looking for but it might help. If you like we also are a sales representative for Nikon Measuring Machines and I would be happy to put you in touch with someone who would like to discuss your needs!
Try the TesaScan units from Brown and Sharpe. They work well for a quick 2D scan and could probably output directly to a CNC machine to make in-process adjustments.
